What customers say?

“ It's the only place I go after I workout or before I workout. I almost religiously go there Wednesdays at 5:00 for salad and watermelon my two favorite foods. I'm going to put this on my YouTube channel is the best value in Las Vegas. ”

- Sativa Sean Las Vegas -

“ Sparse buffet that'll fill you up. Good value for the price. ”

- Joel Cline -

“ Ok, this is cafeteria food so you can’t expect too much. My main complaint is that they often don’t have the main dishes that are advertised. For instance, we went last night for dinner and they had fries and all of the toppings for burgers but no burger patties the whole time we were there. There doesn’t seem to be any effort to keep items stocked/available. Also wish the iced tea was fresh brewed instead of the gross fountain stuff. ”

- Ryan Walker -

“ GYATT DANG THIS IS THE BEST FOOD THAT HAS EVER BLESSED MY SOUL The UNLV Dining Commons has become a beacon of hope and joy in my daily life, a place where food transcends the mundane and genuinely elevates my spirits. To say that this dining hall is just a "place to eat" would be an understatement; it's a vibrant hub where culinary creativity and comforting familiarity blend into a singular experience that resonates deeply with every student who steps through its doors. Despite the various challenges that dining services have faced over time, including fluctuations in the broader food industry, the Dining Commons has remained a steadfast symbol of quality, warmth, and resilience. ”

“ I am a UNLV alumnus and I cannot spell. I think the food is great and the staff is amazing here at the Hazel Wilson House of Commons. The reason why I gave it four stars is because I believe the students should be able to watch UNLV sports on the flatscreens here but the games are not broadcasted We know the students are disconnected from sports but if the women’s basketball, men’s basketball and football team is on, then the students will watch and be somewhat vested in UNLV sports. Have some pride in our sports teams and make that extra effort to make UNLV games watchable here on campus. The campus should have FS1 and CBSnetwork available. Come on UNLV, you can do it. ”

- Ted Mandapat -

“ This is not your typical student cafeteria. Great food made fresh to order, fresh fruit and veggies, icecream, and other goodies all over. It's one of the cleanest places I have eaten. I highly recommend this place. ”

- Jim Clinton -

“ Buffet style with multiple different food stations. Salad bar has great options, there's also a burger station, pasta bar, soup, baked potato bar, pizza, and sandwich making station. I know some people are upset that the options are limited but I think that there's certain times of the day where they pull items to get ready for the next shift. There has however been a few times where my options were limited because they pulled some of the food options. They also have a vegetarian section and veggy burger option which I think is cool. Ice cream machine, many cereal options, soy & regular milk machine and tons of beverage options. It'll do. ”

- Saturn Reyes -

“ Really a good lunch at the student buffet. First, the soda fountain is all Pepsi, but I can put up with Pepsi Zero. The steam table options were just a cut above what you see at most student unions (clockwise from top): plant-based “chicken” curry, peas with onions, roasted Brussels sprouts, and barbecued pulled chicken. ”
